CattleMax Sharing Records Process

With the Sharing CattleMax Records feature, you can share a copy of selected cattle records and information with other CattleMax users.  For instance, share the animal and its data with customers who purchase animals from you so they don't have to add the information to their accounts.  You control what is shared.

First, you create a group of animals whose data you would like to share.  How to Create a Group

Now that you have the group with the animals you want to share, click the Cattle link on the left.

Once on the Cattle page, click Export Data located in the upper right of the page.

Then select the option "Export Cattle to Another CattleMax user."

Here, you can pick what data you want to share.  Note that there is a slight difference on this page between the Commercial and Registered plans.  For Performance records, this list depends not only on which plan but also on which features you have enabled in Settings.

Choose the data you want to share by clicking the box next to each record area.  For Related (Reference) Animals, you have several options on what you would like to share, from None to Everything, including all animals related to the ones you are sharing.  As noted, no financial information is shared.  The group you specify to export is the group you created with those animals.  Enter the email address of the person you share the data with and click Create Export.

The person you share these animals with will get an email with a button to import the data into their CattleMax account, and you are copied on the email.
