Partner Connection with Neogen

You are now able to import your Neogen genomic test results directly into CattleMax.  

Step 1: CattleMax Account Settings

You will need to enable the DNA barcode field in your settings, and you must enter the actual DNA barcode on the animal's profile before the test results import correctly, as this is what is used to match the data.  Click on the gear icon > Account Settings > Cattle Records > make sure the DNA Barcode field is checked, and then click on Update Settings to save your settings. 

Step 2: Setting up the Partner Connection

Now that the DNA Barcode field is enabled and all animals have a DNA Barcode entered on their profiles, we will need to allow Partner Connection for Neogen. From the Dashboard of your CattleMax account, go to Settings and then click on Partner Connection.  Select the Neogen button to activate the Neogen Partnership.

Step 3:  Importing your Neogen file into CattleMax

To import the Neogen data: from the Dashboard, go to Cattle, Import Data, and choose Neogen from the dropdown list. You can browse and attach your Beef or Feeder v3 files exactly as they were sent from Neogen. Click Import Results and wait for your confirmation email.  The Neogen data will be located on the DNA tab of the animal's profile. 

*Please do not open the file from Neogen until after it has been imported; opening it will cause the file to become corrupt and may result in importing errors.
