Texas Sales Tax exemption form information

Howdy fellow Texan!

The state comptroller’s office requires we have a form on file from ranches certifying their use of CattleMax is for agricultural use and therefore exempt from the Texas state sales tax.

The state comptroller initiated a new system in 2012 where producers apply for a sales tax exemption certification. If you have already done this, you just need to complete the Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certification form and send it to us.

If you have not yet registered with the state, complete the process of Get a Texas State Sales Tax Exemption Registration Number. After receiving your exemption number, please complete the exemption certification form linked above and send it to us.

Please be sure to complete the “Retailer information” section at the top of the Tax Exemption Certification with this information:
Cattlesoft, Inc.
1511 Texas Ave S #256
College Station TX 77840

We are required to have the Texas Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certification form completed and signed. Sending a copy of your exemption card does not meet this requirement.

Hint: You can take a picture of the signed sales tax form with your smartphone or tablet and just email it to howdy@cattlemax.com!
