AHA Interface: Updating EPDs

Update Herd EPDs 

EPDS are updated weekly by the American Hereford Association, and updated herd EPD files are available every Sunday evening. To keep your performance up to date in CattleMax, you can import an updated EPD file as often as weekly. 

Import Herd EPD file: 

Login to MyHerd at www.myherd.org

1. Hover over "Jobs & Reports" and select iew Reports & CSV
2. Select "Performance and Inventory" in the drop-down list under Generated Reports & CSVs.
3. Click on the file namedyourmembernumber_HERDEPDS.DAT.
4. You should then see a dialog box that allows you to specify a location to save the file on your computer, or it will automatically save to your download file.

You may save the file anywhere you like, but be sure to note the location, as you will need to know it in order to import the file into your Herd Management Software system.

1. Close the "Download Complete" dialog window by clicking on the button titled Close.
2. Open your CattleMax account, click on Cattle in the menu on the left side of the screen, and then on the American Hereford Association under the Industry Data Interfaces listing.
3. Click the Import EPDs button in the interface, select the downloaded file from AHA, check Update Performance if desired, and click Import EPDs.

You will receive an automated message that your file has been submitted for importing and should be completed shortly. You will receive an email indicating the import is completed.
