Using Bulk Add Animals then Importing EIDs

If you are using both Electronic ID (EID) and Visual ID (VID), the animals must first be added to CattleMax using the Ear Tag (VID) as the primary means of identification. After adding the animals to CattleMax, you can import a CSV file that has the VID in one column and correlating EID in another column. CattleMax will match on the VID and add the EID to the animal's record.

You can create and add a number of animals to your CattleMax file using the Bulk Add Animals feature. When using the Bulk Add Animals feature, be sure to include the Animal Type (Cow, Calf or Bull). If adding calves, then you can designate the sex = Bull, Heifer, or Steer, as you add the animals.

This help article explains how to use Bulk Add Animals feature:

After adding the animals to CattleMax, you can then import the EIDs:

If you are only using EID, you can add the EID as the animal ID by copy/paste when using the Bulk Add Animals feature.
